Add Read More Button In WordPress Post

If you are using the WordPress themes, which display the content in the archive as well as the blog pages, then, you might need to display some of the text only in those pages. So, adding the Read More button for the post will be of great use on those pages.

Now, since you now know that you can display the certain number of text to be displaying in the blog and archive pages, so, you might be eager to do so in your site too, right? Well, in order to clear your confusion on this, here, we will describe about the steps to add the Read More button in your site.

For adding the Read More button in your site for blog and archive pages, when you visit the post or page editor, you can fill up all of the content in the editor, and after that, you need to place the cursor in the right place where you want to cut the text to be displayed in those pages. Now, after confirming up-to which the text will be shown in the front-end, then, you need to click on the button as shown in the image below:

As you can see in the image above, there is shown MORE option in the editor, which shows that the Read More button has been applied for thatĀ post. Now, after doing all of the required steps described above, you will see the post similar as shown below in your site:
