If you have followed our previous article then, you may have already known that, you could bulk delete any of the posts added within your WordPress sites. But, what about, if you want to bulk delete the posts added via certain category, or tag, or by author?
Now, the question may arise in your mind that, is that really doable? Well, it is doable and here we will learn about, how to bulk delete WordPress posts via author, category and tag. So, let’s move ahead and lean about it, shall we?
How to bulk delete WordPress posts via author, category and tag?
For this, as usual, you need to first visit your posts page via your WordPress dashboard, ie, Posts->All Posts section. Now, you can see that the posts have the associated Author, Categories and Tags within it.
Now, if you want to filter the posts shown over there by author only then, just click on the author name and the posts created by that author will appear. Similar is the way for the categories and tags.
So, after knowing about what to bulk delete and filtering the posts via that filter, now, just click on the checkbox option at to, beside Title. It will select all of the posts currently available for bulk actions. Now, on Bulk Actions option, select Move to Trash option and click on Apply button. Now, the posts selected are bulk deleted from your site.
There, in the above screenshot, you can see that we have written the steps within it about what to do. Here, in our case, we have filtered that via the author to bulk delete the author posts added within our site.
